Q & A: Do you like the idea of the split graduation ceremonies?

“I don’t think it’s a bad idea, honestly, because you have more of a chance to get recognized with your major. With the parents, they don’t have to sit through everyone, and college is a lot bigger than high school.”

“My brother graduated from UIS last year, and the ceremony was exhaustingly long. I was really excited to hear that they were splitting it up this year; I just want to get my diploma as quickly as possible!”

“I don’t think it’s a bad idea, because that way parents and families don’t have to sit through the ceremony of all the different majors; it’s kind of split up a little bit. I think it makes more sense to split up the sciences and stuff like that.”

“I think it’s a good idea to be able to get everyone going and not have everyone sitting around, waiting. So yes, I think split ceremonies is a good idea to help expedite the ceremony.”
