As we all know, UIS is an extremely small campus with a population of about 850 students. Everyone just about knows everyone else, which, for students, leads to a tight-knit community. On campus, one name echoes louder than most to be the most school-spirited – Andrew Ogunmokun. With an infectious enthusiasm and jolly demeanor, Andrew has a star on campus for us all. From the moment he stepped foot in Springfield, Ogunmokun wasted no time immersing himself in campus activities, joining various student organizations. As a member of the Computer Science Club and The Black Male Collegiate Society, his energy and positive attitude quickly made him a recognizable figure among his peers.

As a sophomore, his commitment to school spirit goes above and beyond, whether it’s cheering at sporting events or just chatting casually with fellow students. One of Andrew’s most notable contributions to UIS is his work for the Financial Aid office. As a student working towards a computer science major, he is always looking to further his education in campus life. His impact on campus morale cannot be overstated as he embodies the spirit of UIS, encapsulating its values of excellence. As Andrew Ogunmokun continues to leave his mark on the UIS campus, his legacy as the student who best represents school spirit will endure for years to come.
