Boone Saloon review

Located on West Edward Street, this bar/restaurant has tasty menu options for all. The appetizers include delicious twists on average starters. There are BBQ nachos topped with home-made cheese sauce, BBQ pork, jalapenos and red onions. Salsa and sour cream come on the side. The cheese sauce is wonderful, the best we have ever had! There are also stuffed pickles which are breaded pickles stuffed with Monterey jack cheese, then fried. The best way to describe this blend of flavors is by saying it is similar to a tiny Cuban sandwich without the meat. Chipotle ranch (bistro) sauce is served on the side for dipping. Fire crackers also offer an interesting blend of flavors. Fried banana peppers and shrimp are tossed together with chipotle sauce drizzled on top and served with ranch sauce for dipping.
Entrees are include salads, chili, soup, burgers, sandwiches and healthy protein meals. All food comes out piping hot from the kitchen to ensure it is fresh and ready. The Fish and Chips Basket would have been ideal if not for the fish being slightly undercooked. The Old South Chicken Salad is a large portion with an assortment of colorful toppings. It includes chicken, shredded cheese, bacon bits, tomatoes, fire roasted corn and black beans, croutons and your choice of dressing. If you order an appetizer you will surely be taking some of your salad with you! Kid’s meals are also available.
The Saloon has a full bar and they can make almost anything! They have daily drink specials and many beers on tap.
On Saturdays and Sundays breakfast is served from 8 a.m. to noon. They offer French toast, pancakes, biscuits and gravy and omelettes, sides and various beverages. The bar is even open, ready to serve Bloody Mary’s, Mimosas and Irish coffee. Some menu items have a creative twist such as the Signature Bacon and Blueberry Pancakes or the Cranberry Walnut French Toast. A separate breakfast menu can be found at every table.
The layout of the place is ideal for everyone. They have a dining room to the side that is safe for the whole family, while the other room is a bar area. At night the bar is usually pretty crowded and it is hard to grab a table. As for the dining room, it depends on if it is being rented out to a private party. Private parties usually use the whole room and allow no space for other groups to be seated.
While the bar may seem like nothing unusual, the menu options are the part that keeps patrons coming back. The unique blends of flavor and yummy food offers a reason to return to the Wild West.
