Organized and hosted by the UIS Observer, the Best of UIS and Beyond Contest is an opportunity for UIS students, faculty, and staff to make their voices and opinions heard, and to potentially win one of several prizes donated by local businesses!

The contest consists of several “Best of” categories. Members of the UIS community can nominate people/places/things to be entered into each category and then vote on which should be considered the best!

Anyone with a University email is eligible to participate and we look forward to hearing from all members of the UIS community. Help us decide who should receive the title “Best of” in categories such as: Best Spot for a Smoothie, Best Women’s and Men’s UIS Athlete, Best Meal at the UIS Student Union, Best Feature on Campus, Best Off Campus Coffee, and more!

The nomination period lasts from March 16-30, and the voting period of the contest is from April 1-12. For each part of the contest, you are able to submit nominations or votes once every 24 hours.

For every day you nominate or vote in a category, you are entered for a chance to win one of over $500 worth of prizes, including:

            A Coffee Brewer from Bunn

            Various Games from Cards Against Humanity

And Gift certificates from local businesses, including:

            Smoothie King

            Café Moxo

            Joseph’s Fine Cuisine

            Sangamo Brewing and Restaurant
