The Observer – the UIS student newspaper – is excited to announce the first ever Best of UIS and Beyond contest, where UIS students, faculty, and staff can sound off about the best that the campus and the city of Springfield have to offer.
During March 18-29th, you are able to nominate a winner once every 24 hour period. At the end of the nomination period, the top five most nominated from each category will move onto the final voting round, which happens April 1-12th. Category winners will appear April 22nd in the 2024 “Beyond” issue of The Observer.
Anyone with a UIS email address (students, faculty, staff) is eligible to nominate and vote. For every day you nominate or vote, you are entered to win one of over $600 worth of fabulous prizes donated from local businesses, including:
