Dumb Records | Springfield, Illinois | Visit Springfield (visitspringfieldillinois.com)

Music is diverse and transcends physical boundaries. Music connects people and fosters solidarity. Music provokes emotions both somber and electrifying. Music is whatever you want it to be. Dumb Records recognizes this and continues to educate the public on the beauty of music. From CDs to vinyl, Dumb Records bestows music in its finest form.

Dumb Records, located near Fifth St. and Monroe downtown, shows time and time again that it is more than just a store. The Black Sheep Cafe, which closed in 2018, served as a haven for local artists to put their talent on display. Dumb Records also hosts live performances on a stage in the second part of the store, allowing for small shows to be held. The next performance is October 24 featuring Snuffed, Bull Cult, War and Rumor and Hemlock.

Further inside of Dumb Records, across from the stage, is an arcade. The Dumb Records Arcade features 13 games including several pinball machines, racing and shooting games and more. Entry into the arcade is $5 or free with a purchase of $10 in the store. The arcade can also be rented out for private parties.

Dumb Records and Dumb Records Arcade operate from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. everyday. For more information on Dumb Records, check out their website.
