UIS Volleyball Puts Together Dominant Performance In Victory Over Truman

The University of Illinois Springfield volleyball team put together one of its best performances of the season on Saturday at TRAC. The Prairie Stars defeated Truman State in a GLVC contest by scores of 25-7, 25-9, and 25-16.

UIS had its second-highest hitting percentage of the season with a .310 mark, and held Truman to negative hitting on the day, the first time in 2019 that the Prairie Stars held an opponent to more errors than kills. The Prairie Stars also had 11 service aces, and did not allow an ace. UIS finished with 15 more kills, nine more digs, and four more blocks overall.

Hannah Nicolaisen had a big match offensively with 13 kills and a .417 hitting percentage. Megan Krasowski added seven kills and hit .400. Becca Blakeley had 30 assists in the match.
