Christian Student Fellowship kicks off semester with campus Quad party

On Tuesday, September 9, 2025, the Christian Student Fellowship (CSF) hosted its first quad party of the semester, giving students a chance to socialize, play games, and learn more about the organization. Activities such as volleyball and frisbee drew students to the campus quad, creating a lively atmosphere for attendees.

Sydney Deweese, an intern and CSF leader, said the goal of these events is to bring students together. “We’re going to try and do this more often this semester because we just want to hang out with you on campus and have a great time,” she said.

Creating an open and welcoming environment is a core part of CSF’s mission. UIS student Layla Hackert said the organization has been an important part of her college experience. “CSF has been a major part of my life since I came to this school because they were really welcoming,” she shared.

In addition to social opportunities, CSF events offer a space for students to explore and engage with the Christian faith. Cristabel Onyeche noted that spending time with other students while growing in her faith is one of the highlights of her CSF experience. “My favorite thing about CSF is having time to spend with other students and learning more about God,” she said.

CSF plans to host additional Quad Parties on September 16 and 23, along with a weekly Monday night worship event in the Student Union Ballroom. Students interested in learning more about CSF or attending future events can visit the organization’s UIS Connections page.
