On October 25th, the UIS Career Development Center hosted a Career & Resource Fair, sponsored by the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library & Museum (ALPLM), the Central Illinois Chapter of the Society of Human Resource Management (CIC SHRM), the Illinois Department of Central Management Services, and the University of Illinois Springfield. This event provided UIS students with valuable opportunities to apply for State of Illinois positions, receive guidance on job readiness, tailor their resumes, access career coaching, and engage in networking activities.
While many students enroll in college to advance their careers, they often do not acquire the essential skills needed for workplace success solely from their classes.
